I have hunted before, but not much. My son has not, but he has his hunters saftey done.

We are in allegan county, I will be hunging on family land most of the time.

Let me do some checking on leftover antlerless permits for allegan county.

It would make sense to also get those so you could shoot bucks or does.

OK, there are 3,100 leftover antlerless permits for your county so you should be able to buy them at any license agent.

You will need to know the phone number of the property owner.

Your son should bring his hunter safety certificate and you will need your drivers license or other state approved ID.

If you each get an antlerless permit and a regular gun deer the cost is $30 for both permits.

It sounds like you should be all set.
