It really helps to hear the song as you read the lyrics. Enjoy

Awful weird huh? Scary even. Good group though. “Reelin” has some great guitar work in it.

Thanks!
I’ve always loved this song. Pretty melody, great piano, pedal steel guitar in the third verse!

Music of Steely Dan is timeless. Even though it’s been over 30 years since their heyday, nothing in their catalogue sounds dated.

I passed on a chance to see them in Memphis a couple of months ago. I just wasn’t paying the $89 they wanted for a ticket. I’ve been listening to Countdown to Ecstasy, Pretzel Logic, and Katy Lied. Pearl of the Quarter. I generally don’t listen to much Aja and beyond - just the older albums.

Lots of folks dislike Steely Dan and I never understood
why. ‘My Old School’ is one of my all time favorites.

You should have gone. I saw them here in Omaha in July for the first time. Great show.

You know, I am pretty much the only in my family who likes them. I’d pay the $89 for the ticket. Bet it would be a great show.
But I’d be going alone :)

I enjoyed this song so much, I posted an old favorite video of mine on the
production of Aja. Steely Dan was an artisan group...they really took their music seriously right down to the tiniest detail.

Whenever I hear The Who’s “Behind Blue Eyes” it reminds me of Clinton’s presidency...
Listen too it...
