Assuming the County is named after William Duval, who helped force relocation of the Seminoles and blamed their resistance on black members of the tribe, shouldn’t the school board change its name too?
Probably ate a few also. (I'm sorry, that was bad.)
Yeah, but tell us how you really feel.
I’m kidding.
The African king sold his people to slave traders, who sold them on the auction block in New Orleans.
I heard they named it Barry Getz High...
Is there an African king who never killed countrymen for power? To hell with Africa!
Well, I hear you. But, to the blacks who run New Orleans schools, it was more important to help the self-esteem of black students, by stripping the name of George Washington off the school.
Never mind that New Orleans schools have some of the worst results in the nation. It’s more important to them to promote mother Africa, and get those kids to focus only on the color of their skin. Nor does anything matter about the true history of this African king. They don’t care.
Personally, I am frustrated that they reduce one of our founding fathers attributes to the fact that he owned slaves, and that everything else about his life is worthless due to that fact. But that’s the liberal politically correct world we live in.
