Well, looks I was (unfortunately) correct with my post about this story when it first broke. I figured the guy would face the possibility of retribution for his actions.

BTW, the dude didn’t just open fire or whatever nonsense is being claimed. According the the reports, he told the perps to stop, and that he had called the cops. The perps attacked him and *then* the guy pulled his gun and shot them. He wasn’t acting as executioner, he was acting in defense of his life, according the story.

I’m sorry the two perps made the choices that led them to their fate. But they did make them. And the fact that they CHOSE to commit a crime, and then to attack someone trying to stop them, puts the blame squarely on their shoulders. No one else is as fault here, end of story.

“It’s not fair,” says Virginia Medina, mother of 24-year-old William Medina who walked into Krick’s Korner store with a gun in hand, mask on head and stole cigarettes and lottery tickets, and then promptly lost his life over his own stupidity.

Cigarettes and lottery tickets? These guys are too stupid to be walking around. Good riddance to bad rubbish!

They need to begin charging the parents for this garbage! You want to grieve? Go ahead and grieve for your POS. But if the family starts pushing for innocent people to be charged the DA needs to come in with the threat of charges against them for harboring criminals.....no different than charging the driver of the car with crimes.

First there was “suicide by cop”. Now there is “murder by cop”. Another story had a guy killed because his “trying to be ex” called the cops and said he owned a gun - it might open the doors for some “perfect murder” scenarios.

More Criminal Minorities wanting Special Rights to commit crime.

Great shot by the legal gun owner. There are two less criminals in the world. They’s got capped

In the liberal ‘mind’ the pieces of crap were just doing a little income ‘redistribution’ and creating a ‘fair’ playing field. After all, the evil business owner is just exploiting everyone and deserves to have his money taken.

A true marxist thinks that all the means of production should be in the hands of the government, and that there should be no private property.

At least 2 are now worm food.

“I would really like to see just once, just once where the family of someone like this stood up and say “I don’t know where my son learned how to be like he was but he didn’t learn it from me. I sorry he’s dead, it is really a tragedy but I can’t say he didn’t ask for it given his life style””

I have posted a few of those on freerepublic. They are rare, though.

I'm surprised the Medina woman didn't also complain that she didn't get her cigs & lotto tickets.

Any time a white person is killed by a black person, we are to understand it as “random” or “senseless”, when it is often neither.

Any time a black person is killed by a white person, we are to understand it as part of a pattern.

Any time a black person does something terrible to a white person, we are to understand it as the act of an individual.

Any time a white person does something terrible to a black person, we are to understand it as the act of a race.

Ain’t gonna work too much longer.

Yeah, but for now it’s the wrongful death lawsuits by dead perps’ family members that society has to worry about.

Fortunately that’s what SYG & Good Samaritan & liability limitation statutes are there for, in those states enlightened enough to have passed them.

But sueing the perps’ parents for damages caused by gross parental incompetence is a great idea! It should be enabled after they make stupid public statements about “what a great kid he was”. If OTOH they publically disavow the evil conduct that led to his death (”I didn’t raise him to do these things”), then they might be off the hook.

I fully support charging parents for the criminal acts of their minor children - criminal child neglect, at the least. If a child carries or uses a gun illegally, the parents need to be charged with illegal, reckless use of that gun.

I believe youth crime would significantly decline if neglectful parents spent some quality time in jail or in community service. Some would take control of their children, while others would find that having kids they don’t intend to raise carries a serious price along with the entitlement rewards. For those who refuse to take responsibility for their children, long jail times will inhibit their ability to procreate.

That said, William Medina was 24, an adult, but his momma still needs some sense beat into her.
