Yeah, maybe he should be more in the "middle" -- you know, like McCain and Romney. Or Christie.Yeah, that's it, compromise with our benevolent esteemed dem opponents, stop the name-calling, don't be so anti-abortion, quit admiring those old white slave-owners that wrote the Constitution, support Obamacare (the 'law of the land'), reach out to the other side -- just like the dems do, including those lib teachers, lib parents, Nancy Pelosi, Dingy Harry Reid, Obama, etc etc. And while you're at it double down on your DNC contributions.

that isn't what I was saying at all -- if you could have delayed your knee-jerk reaction and thought about it before answering.

The problem is Rush and the demonization of him wherever there are dems, which automatically limits the effectiveness of this project. I didn't say that demonization was warranted and no one expects him to compromise his beliefs, but if he had been a little more subtle and less in the public's face the project might have been more effective.

The art of persuasion is first and foremost figuring out the path of least resistance to your listener's heart. Rush's pic on the cover of a book and himself as the main character makes it all that much more difficult. I am not saying that is right, I am saying that it the way it is. There is a big difference between the two.

It's perfectly clear what you are saying, and there is nothing knee-jerk about my response.

You think Rush has an image problem, to the point that you seem to think he shouldn't use his own image on HIS OWN PRODUCTS! This is INSANITY -- reminds me of McCain not using Obama's middle name during the campaign because he thought it would be offensive to some!

The real problem is YOU are uncomfortable with Rush's image. The book sales are doing quite well with his image on them, and his image is not something to be ashamed of! Last I heard he sold 200,000 the first week.

Maybe you should write Rush and tell him his characters need to have more "diversity" -- maybe an LGBT horse, or a one-legged burka-clad midget muslim woman on the horse, or maybe he could license Hillary Clinton's image riding the horse -- to sell more books, of course, and to avoid offending sensitive liberals, especially since we all must acknowledge Rush is responsible for the "war on women"....
