Thank you, Toespi. I’m so sorry about Maxwell. It’s hard. They just become so much a part of us.
It helps so much to know that there is that solid wall of prayer if I get scared or worry too much.
TalBlack & fieldmarshaldj, Thank you!
seeker41 & ColdOne, the neurologist called me as I was starting this reply.
NO BRAIN TUMOR!!!! Her brain isn’t normal, but it isn’t going to necessarily affect her quality of life. She said it looks kind of like Alzheimers, but it must translate differently in dogs. Miss Mu is a little too sharp for my own good. She made it through the anesthesia “just great”.
One more hurdle. They did a spinal tap esp since they really didn’t find anything & it *could* show meningitis or cancer (lymphoma) but I’m not as worried about that. Her bloodwork last week was great.
We get to see her between 9 & 10 & it’s going to be a little easer to get through the night. I imagine she’s going to stomp those little feet, but she’ll forgive me.
Thank you all so much for your prayers! I was very, very, very scared. A brain tumor had crossed my mind (What IF?) & Mia was acting funny about going to the vet last week & today, which isn’t like her & it scared me even more.
I am so grateful.
So happy about Mia, thanks for letting us know. When she comes home give her a big hug and a treat for me:)
BTW-I had a weenie dog named Carmolina who had two blown cervical disks in her neck that required a specialist at “Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists” (http://www.gcvs.com/) in Houston. She needed complex surgery on her neck to the tune of 3,500.00 years ago. I would have begged, borrowed or stolen to see she had the procedure. She recovered just fine and lived a nice long life.
Great news!!!!!! She will be so glad to see you for a visit, sleep well tonight because when she comes home, she will need you rested. Prayers continuing!
Keep us updated please. Prayers.
