“Race officials denied the request”

why? This is a simple thing to accommodate.

If she wanted to wear a hijab they would have allowed it

Maybe they had already published material that showed who had what number.

I think the fact it was a race meant something far more symbolically significant than registering at a hotel and getting room number 666, or boarding an airplane whose flight number was 666.

Well she took one for the LORD there I say. She got that number omitted from the race.

Mr. Mercat was assigned this number for his small sail boat registration. He didn’t think it was such a big deal. I told him I would never again sail in that boat so he asked for a different number and got it.

Somebody objects to getting 666, and the race officials can’t figure out that there it is a religious objection? How stupid are they in Kentucky?
