FULL TITLE: Police release heartbreaking 911 call by man attacked by stepson, 16, before teen 'brutally murdered his own mother because the couple confiscated his cellphone'

In a new development on the case of a 16-year-old boy charged with beating his mother to death, the dramatic 911 phone call the boy's stepfather placed to police has been released, with the man not knowing at the time his wife was already dead.

The stepfather, who has not been identified, is trying to compose himself while talking to the operator, after fleeing the scene when his stepson repeatedly attacked him with a frying pan.

The stepson, Michael Roy Helms, 16, is standing trial as an adult on murder charges after the body of his mother, Tina Helms Spencer, was found beaten to death at her home in Mesa, Arizona.

Her body was found in a shed behind the house.

The 911 call reveals the stepfather arrived at the house at about 4am on October 26 - the morning after the murder - and was almost immediately attacked by Helms, according to AZ Central.

'I grabbed the frying pan to defend myself. He came at me like crazy,' the stepfather said.

'He said, ''You can die and go to hell'', and started raising the frying pan at me over and over.'

This is what happens when you take God out of schools, society, and the family.

the moral of the story is don’t take the cellphone. The lesson to be gleaned from this incident is those of the hoodlum’s generation are supposed to take care of those when they enter the paradise of the obamacare nursing homes and hospitals.

Horse stealing was once a death sentence. Now’s it’s cellphone stealing.

Forward.

If I ever have kids, the lesson in the house will be, “You BETTER kill me if you try some crap like this, or I will make sure YOUR grandkids feels the ass whooping I’m gonna bring down on you.”

“This is what happens when you take God out of schools, society, and the family.”

I don’t disagree that this produces a progressive anomie. But I believe that can only happen when millions of PERSONS refuse to worship their Creator and instead worship the creation. After Adam there are no “innocents” before the Father. All have sinned.

The idiot believed he would get away with it by saying the parents moved to Ohio? He believed the house was now all his? Sixteen with the intellect of a six year old.

Definitely part of the reason I won’t be making any human beings.

Doing my own small part to stop that process right now.

The kid looks terrified, with tears in his eyes. I guess it is getting inside his very small, slow brain that this was not a good solution, and his tail might just be in trouble. He beat his mom to death with a frypan and hammer - shows determination, to switch weapons, IMHO.

I kept wondering, do these kids think at all? There is a mention in the article that he was telling neighbors, “The house was his now”. He thinks this is the way to a house and phone?
