Xsbaby and xshub were delegates to the repub convention this year and Lt gov candidate ew Jackson who is a black minister had a tremendous group of supporters that won him the nomination over other candidates who were expected to win. So we are hoping that he has strong support elsewhere in the state. Just saw that the dem candidate (white)refused to shake his hand after their debate.
Xsbaby and I heading to the polls now. Wearing my Lilly Pulitzer elephant scarf and she’s wearing her elephant dress.
I found the coolest tool, a tick twister. Buffy has been plagued with ticks and this tool just twists them right off. Good thing she got the Lyme disease vaccine. She had 2 ticks in 5 days. Gross things.

Ticks used to be bad here 5-6 years ago, but they have been scarce in recent years. Good thing, too-I’m convinced that sometime in the past, Husky girl robbed another Husky of some coat, because she seems to have three of them...

One of her fiance’s hockey teammates, an AHOLE, lib dem union goon and OBNOX on stilts, made some reply to the status that neither candidate was good but that Cuccinelli is a dirtbag nutball radical. Well xsteen hates this guy anyway, so this was the cherry on top. Her preferred manner of dealing with him is to pretend that he and his gf do not exist. As xsteen put it, her friend colleen LIVES for *ing with people like this and so she jumped on it with both feet. When xshub and i saw it, we were instantly inflamed and xshub said if that guys name shows up on the final wedding invite list, i will X it off. See, this is why i cannot be on fb, i would see this stuff and go insane. Though i guarantee that if i was on FB, my lib coworker and other lib friend, Cheryl, would not be so rude as to post something incendiary like that. xsteen feels this exposes him as the AHOLE that he is. It’s funny, bc it also prompted a HS friend, Gonzaga grad, whom she hasn’t spoken to in eons, to private message her and ask if it was true that Terry was at the metro, bc this guy works for Ken and is responsible for this area. He thought it was interesting that Terry needed to be out there doing that. Also he says that reports are of low voter turnout in NoVA so far, which gives some hope.
We were talking about backyard chickens this morning with a friend at the park. She has them and was dropping off a chipmunk she caught in a humane trap. Now I really want chickens again!
I love the way your husband thinks! I am fortunate to have grown up in a very conservative area so my friends are almost all conservative.
the majority of my friends are also conservative. i have spoken of the two outliers, maia and cheryl, both coworkers. One is black and the other is Jewish, so they do have reasons for their views and are always very respectful of our differences.
