I watched a clip of the news conference that WFMZ broadcast at 6:00 PM.

The two robbers were confronted by the private (now being described as concerned) citizen. They dragged iron, the citizen pulled his piece and proceeded to take out the trash.

District Attorney John T. Adams has ruled the shoot justifiable (and it is both in terms of self-defense and the stand-your ground law in Pa) and that no charges would be filed against the (in my book hero) citizen.

No description of the perps or citizen has surfaced, yet. You can bet if the perps are young, negro dads and aspiring rappers and the citizen is white or Hispanic, Al and Jesse might get involved if the price is right (which I doubt, Reading Pa is not only crime-ridden, it is poverty-ridden).

My bottom line: good shooting citizen, reload and carry on.

Two men, both armed with guns and wearing masks, had just left the store with stolen cigarettes and lottery tickets when they were confronted by the “concerned citizen,” telling both suspects that he was going to call police and advising them to stay where they were, said Berks County District Attorney John Adams. A brief scuffle ensued, during which the suspects pulled out their guns, Adams said. The citizen then pulled out his gun, for which he had a license to carry, and shot both suspects, Adams said.
