Provincial Parks in Ontario restrict all firearms for tourists, but doesn't include Park Rangers or Canadian Indigenous personnel. Indigenous personnel can freely shoot game for their annual potlatches, but I've also noticed all beaver and other fur animals are missing along gravel secondary roads.
There are some good lessons in both what to do and what not to do from the incident at Missinaibi Provincial Park with Dr. Jacqueline Perry. I personally remember 2 other bear attacks that resulted in 3 deaths in Algonquin Provincial Park.
