Today's feature is a suspenseful film noir classic from director John Farrow(father of Mia) about a crime magazine editor(Ray Milland) trying to solve a murder before it gets pinned on him. If the plot seems familiar to you, it was later remade in 1987 as "No Way Out" with Kevin Costner in Milland's role.

I don’t have cable or tv at all, for that matter...........and the thing I miss the most are the classic movies. I LOVE THEM!!!! I love b&w movies....I’m fascinated with anything b&w...especially the movies from the 30’s on through the early 60’s//....color movies from those years also of course....but I really miss TCM...that and Animal Planet.

Great movie. As an architectural fan the building and furnishing are interesting too.

TCM’s “The Fountainhead” (noon to 2) was more to my mood - Gary Cooper and Patricia Neal - ends with iconic shot of Neal riding up the construction elevator to the top of “the world’s tallest building” with Cooper waiting at the top, triumphant in his individualism and independence....
