Kudlow: Liberal entitlement-state dream is crumbling

May I ask this question? Why is it that Americans don't have the freedom to choose their own health insurance? I just don't get it. Why must the liberal nanny state make decisions for us? We can make them ourselves, thank you very much. It's like choosing a car, buying a home or investing in a stock. We can handle it.

Not at all; “the dreamn lives on”, as the late EMK often said, it’s just that the reality of funding is a nightmare that only more spending for the sheeple can “solve”.

I can see an underground market for health care arising. We will all find back alley doctors to treat our sore throats and other minor illness—all on a cash basis.

I can see underground drug companies churning out antibiotics and other drugs.

We will all be criminals, slinking to our medical care speakeasies.

Americans are intelligent, resilient people—at least the older generations are. We’ll get along for a while, anyway.

"No, this is federal coercion at its worst. And that's why the public is turning against it. It's not freedom."

Whatta retard.

When Traitor Roberts issued his unsupportable edict, it should have been obvious that this was a high-balling Nation-wreck well down the Track.

I get it. The same people who have determined we need their help with health insurance would LOVE to choose our homes and cars for us. Or rather, they would love to force us all into high rise communities within walking distance to our jobs and eliminate the automobile entirely.
In a way, forcing government chosen health care plans on the people is a test of how much more intrusion we will be willing to tolerate for our own good.

Perhaps now even the media is seeing our Emperor has no clothes.

I think we have a way to go before reaching the “rock bottom” point where a sufficient number of people see this isn’t working and have had enough. Only then will the resistance become significant enough to reverse the trend. As a nation, too many are pacified by their EBT and Obamaphones, and most of our elected representatives are no more than Enablers.

It will get worse before it gets better. But the tipping point WILL come.

You’re right, from what I’ve heard. The key phrase is “Non-conforming policies sold outside the Exchanges”. Rules may be different for those states who have set up their own exchanges vs those part of the national Obamascare Exchange, but from what I’ve heard the ACA law specifically allows this to occur. No subsidies outside the exchange, of course.

So you could envision two major risk pools: one of relatively healthy people buying non-conforming policies at affordable rates outside the exchange and Obamacare for everyone else. Think about what that would do to the cost of Obamacare!

There could also be “SO” alternatives (i.e. doctors who just say Screw Obamacare and offer healthcare services on fee-for-service basis. (They’d better make sure their tax returns are in perfect order!)

Now the media is percieving that they are about to be tossed aside as no longer useful idiots, and they won’t get a pass from the misery intended for the masses.

This was only supposed to hurt other people.

Why? Because Team Obama says I have to. And that’s not much of a reason. It’s not freedom.

But what gives Obama the right to say we have to?

Because socialist America voted him in as Americas dictator, so that they will not have to be responsible for them selves.

If it had not been Obama it would have been some one else who would take away the freedoms the Constitution guarantees us which we have been losing, a little here and a little there long before Obama.

But even before socialism got a good foothold,
Peoples attitude is, it don,t bother me if your rights are taken away from you as long as my rights are not taken away from me.

Don,t you dare take away my right to drink a little wine but i don,t smoke that dammed stuff so make it illegal.

Under a Democracy or a republic either one it is unlikely the Government could do what this Government is doing with out having the people behind them.

People should not be allowed to vote unless they are alive and at least thirty years old and or have held down a job and supported themselves for at least ten years and can no longer vote after they go on social security, i say that last part very lightly because that would include me.

"As for the grandfathering lie, Obama's HHS staffers were the saboteurs. They undoubtedly acted with full knowledge of what they were doing, and thus trapped the president in three years of falsehoods that were essential to selling Obamacare."

Why do conservatives continue to propagate this BS. It wasn't Obama's "staffers." It was OBAMA that grotesque cretin. He and ONLY HE knew what all this was going to do.

They need other people’s money to meddle in everyone’s lives. Utopia doesn’t work unless everyone is compelled to facilitate & consent to it.
