Interestingly, the NRA lobbied government for this Obamacare legislation located within section 4205 of the Affordable Care Act.
This legislation would broadly exempt chain grocery, convenience stores and other entities that sell restaurant food from providing uniform nutrition information to customers despite that fact that each day thousands of customers purchase meals at these establishments, said Scott DeFife, the NRAs executive vice president of policy and government affairs. These companies each made strategic decisions to compete directly with their local restaurant community, in this regard, and need to play by the same rules as those with whom they choose to compete.
The NRA points to Mayor Mike Bloombergs New York City as the first place menu labeling regulations happened about seven years ago.
And then it spread to a California proposal. King County Washington...As a result of the uniform menu and nutritional standard in Obamacare, a franchise like Dairy Queen told its customers in Washington State recently that it can no longer make their unique brand of homemade sauces and must serve customers pre-packaged sauces instead. :
Due to the nutritional labeling requirements of ObamaCare, we have to serve pre-packaged, pre-made fry sauce. We can no longer make our own as we have done for many years. The additional cost to us is substantial, about $5,800 per year.

With few exceptions, lobbying organizations eventually get co-opted by the gov’t entities they are supposed to lobby. Put another way, most lobbying organizations like most charities and most big businesses eventually get taken over by the left.
NRA confused me.
This is another victim of Obamacare. At first it was proposed that any establishment that sold food had to follow the menu regulations. That would have put grocery store and convenience store delis out of business. Now the restaurants want an even playing field. Who suffers? The consumers.
This is why the wait at fast food drive-thrus is up over half an hour. The low info crowd can’t tell if they’re looking at a price or a calorie count.
If I read this right, and that is hard to know with such lousy writing, ObamaCare requires nutrition information to be known of all foods so restaurants cannot simply use ingredients and cook because no one has tested their recipes for nutrition content?
That’s right. So there will be no place for creative cooking, original recipes, etc. As Dairy Queen stated, they will have to use prepackaged sauces instead of homemade.
Pizza places were fighting this because they will be limited as to the combinations they can offer.
