In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of Word for the Day.
Limn
tr.v. limned, limn·ing (lmnng), limns
Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the Word for the Day in a sentence.
The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day.
The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-)
Practice makes perfect.....post on....

Motion in limine. Literally means at the start. Motions made befire a trial starts.
As horrid as the drunk sounds, could he possibly be worse than any democrat on any day?
I love those cookies!
That’s the word! Thanks!
Damn straight! Churchill had alcohol in his system at all times. ;-)
It's not really a policy position.
It's the GOP's fault for nominating him.
It's not like it will tip the balance. So I agree with Ti.
If a 6 year old could reproduce something similar without supervision, it’s not art.
Especially, after repetition, see my other posts above.
Look, If Renoir....had one day had a wild hair, and produced. Jackson Pollock, i might be inclined to agree that the piece was art.
Stacking pieces of wood, or laying tile on a floor...is not art.
Renoir wasn't that great. The reason he painted that way is because he needed glasses.
Jonha makes a good point here:
http://www.nationalreview.com/article/362783/obama-myth-master-strategist-jonah-goldberg
If Obama were a chess master or even a fairly adept checkers novice he would have known that when youre not ready to do something incredibly important, its best to buy time. He could have traded a delay (three months? six months?) for some major budget concessions, maybe even lifting the sequester. Perhaps his base wouldn’t have liked it, but he could have easily spun the compromise as a necessity given how irrational and extreme the GOP was being.
Publicly hed say he was paying a ransom to kidnappers and hostage takers. Hed denounce Republicans for delaying precious insurance coverage for sick kids and frail oldsters just to score partisan and ideological points.
But privately, ah, privately, the master strategist would be stroking his proverbial white cat or, in reality, his hypoallergenic black dog while breathing a sigh of relief that he bought himself some time to fix his woefully mangled health-care reform.
You’re so, like, bourgeois, man. ;-)
See, Carl Andre above....
And Pollock? Really?
Can someone go back a couple weeks, and tell me if that is not EXACTLY what I said, when Cruz filibustered.
I demand a percentage.
I don’t think we knew how bad the Obamacare rollout was going to be at the time.
Either way, it’s bad for Obama. Either he didn’t know what was going on with his signature program, or he didn’t realize when a golden opportunity to save face was presented to him.
And, I specifically used the Chess analogy. Since Cruz took the floor, we have talked about 3 things ad nauseam. 17 Trillion $ worth of debt, Obamacare, and (to a lesser extent) establishment Republicans.
Yeah, that was a guess. See my HW.
The party is going to take a hard right, like 4 frat boys approaching a DUI checkpoint.
Obama’s minions loved Obamacare-
They happily limned it in gold
Now they see it is so faulty
The best ads can’t get it sold
The whole thing is a scam-
No pricing unless you buy
And once the cost is shown
You can’t undo it if you try
Even ‘rats are suspicious
Their idol has feet of clay-
Put some lipstick on that pig
And just try to sell it that way...
Wrong Focus. Rollout was fairly predictable, but that is still the smokescreen.
The real part, is Cost. Iff the rollout had been perfect, the COST would have made it worse. Thats why they disabled the Browse feature.
Secondarily,
The Republicans knew in advance that there would be massive drops. As did the WH. They had 3 years to figure it out, and to get told by Ins.Co. Lobbyists.
This was so patently obvious as to be comical, in light of Obama’s MSM Hagiography.
I will be voting dem for the first time in my life. I hope he’s better.
A+++ dems can’t win on healthcare anymore. They’re done.
Yeah, but the website troubles means there are no “success stories” to draw the media’s attention. So, it’s all bad news right now.
It is also becoming apparent how this is a scheme to make some people pay more, for stuff they don’t need, in order to cover others.
In other words, it’s income redistribution. It’s a tax collected by insurance companies rather than the gov’t.
