My mom was also a teen that day. She said they didn't happen to be listening at the time, but a neighbor came running over, terrified! She never did forget how frightened that man was.

My grandparents who at that time were living in Brooklyn, were petrified because my Aunt and her husband lived in Princeton. The way I’ve been told the story. They had to find a phone and called them and my Uncle said, nothing happening here, it’s a hoax.

On the other hand, there is a really neat memorial statue at the alleged crash site.
