Definitely not Wyoming. Therein lies a tale: I'd just bought a barely used WRX and was driving it from Dallas to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. My predecessor had thoughtfully had it chipped and some other nice speed-related mods and when I turned north out of Denver I figured when I crossed into Wyoming I'd turn it loose. Which I did.

I backed off finally and cruised into Montana, where I was informed that I'd gone directly by the Wyoming State Patrol academy where they routinely set speed traps to give the new officers some experience. And that I could have ended up in jail for the, ah, slightly over the speed limit rate I was driving. All I will say is that I honestly don't know how fast that was because the speedo didn't go quite high enough.

I still have the car. If I tried that on the roads around here, though, I'd be dead meat.

Fun cars, aren’t they? I’ve got an LGT Limited wagon, a little more room, almost the same zoom as a WRX.

Don’t ride your oil changes though, full synthetic, change every 3k religiously. Learn what cavitation sounds like and park it if you hear it. It’s the difference between $1,500 and over $7,000.

Great cars, awesome engineering with that one issue, a disintigrating turbo throws debris into the engine block.
