Me too. That windshield was right in front of our noses too.
Nothing else, no engine. Whenever I climbed behind that black, plastic wheel with the Wolfsburg emblem on the horn ring, I always considered myself to be like an Aztec sacrifice held down on an altar.
Only difference was I had to scrape the windshield with nylon net this time of the year to get the frost off (inside) so Death could see me.

I live in Rochester, NY which averages 9-10 feet of snow each winter.
I don't know HTH I survived.
