I've prided myself for my imagination, and I've imagined myself in this kind of a scenereo ... except in my imagination, I never really felt the angst and anguish this film so brutally uncovered.

I have repeatedly been accussed of wishing such on us. The only people who would wish such are pure evil. I almost wish the next time someone throws that charge against me we could be wisk back to the days when a man had to stand by his words and was held accountable for them.

I wish to never see such a time darken anyone's door, yet the world about us grows darker everyday. My wish, my goal is should such a time come upon us that as many God Fearing Patriots survive as possible because we are going to need them to make our way back into the light.

I was in Dubrovnik in 1977 aboard the USS JFK, we were the first carrier to visit the city. It was beautiful, with those orange tiled buildings around the harbor, and the women were very beautiful.

It broke my heart years later to see those orange tiled roofs being blown to smithereens by shells.

The irony is that by planning for contingencies and the worst case scenario you actually lower the chances of the worst case scenario happening in the first place.

I'm reminded of the scene in "The Patriot" when that guy goes home to find his wife and son murdered and he just .. shoots himself.

I don't think any of us really know a LOT about what we have been given ... at such a great price ... and God forgive me ... I don't know if I have the sack to die for some ungrateful punk.

Drove down sniper alley in 1994 in unarmed vehicle. Remember thinking I was in a war movie. Modern city with every building full of holes and no lights. The airport had no heat and in January it was COLD. Military transport never turned engines off, we were told to move out and head to the “terminal” and then they fired it up and took off. Spent the night in Tito’s old palace and ate French field rations on his china. The French didn’t want to trade some more of them for MRE’s, go figure.
