Joey Chestnut eats 121 Twinkies in 6 minutes

TUNICA, Miss., - Competitive eating champion Joey Chestnut added another record to his total by downing 121 Twinkies in 6 minutes at a Mississippi event.
Chestnut came in first during the weekend at the Major League Eating-sanctioned inaugural World Twinkie-Eating Championship at Bally's Casino in Tunica.
His closest competitor, Matt "The Megatoad" Stonie, downed 111 of the cream-filled cakes in the time allowed, the Orlando (Fla.) Sentinel reported Tuesday.
Miki Sudo, the only woman in the competition, came in third with 71 Twinkies.
Chestnut's record-setting feast amounts to 10.2 pounds of Twinkies, containing 18,150 calories, the Sentinel said.

I tried the new twinkies and for some reason they tasted much better than the old.
Thats because they were new........the other ones are aged for several years in warehouses and old garages before they hit the store shelves.

No, you got that wrong. There was no problem with the shelf life of Twinkies. They just added stuff that will leach out and make the shelves themselves last longer. Some sort of corrosion preventative.
