YORBA LINDA (CBSLA.com) An intruder fatally shot by a Yorba Linda homeowner was intoxicated, hallucinating and talking about zombies and a gun, authorities said Monday.
Paul Michael Bracamontes, 22, of Fullerton, was shot after breaking through a sliding glass door in the 5100 block of Wendover Road about 3:15 a.m. Sunday, Orange County sheriffs Lt. Jeff Hallock said.
Sheriffs deputies did not identify the homeowner, who did not know Bracamontes, he said.
Considering Bracamontes bizarre behavior, the shooting appears to be justified, Hallock said. The case will be turned over to the Orange County District Attorneys Office for routine review.
The results of the coroners drug tests could take up 12 weeks, Hallock said.
Court records show Bracamontes was charged with public intoxication, a misdemeanor, in January, but the case was dismissed in April.
“hallucinating and talking about zombies and a gun,”
Meth involved?
A lot of people in this country seem to be having difficulty keeping the real world separate from “The Walking Dead” with Barry in the White House.
Must have been looking forward to the Walking Dead episode, unfortunately little Carl wasn’t around to shoot him, so a homeowner did. =)
Or bath-salts...
Wow, you don’t think drugs were involved, do you?
Didn’t even think of that one. That’s a definite possibility, for sure.
One thing’s for sure. The dead guy isn’t saying — one way or the other.
They can test his blood and hair.
Barry musta kicked on the mind control machine again but forgot to set it to “shooting spree”....
Oh yes. And no doubt they will.
That said, why are some so quick to dismiss the possibility that he was seeing zombies? Have you seen a recent picture of dingy harry? ;’)
Grin, I've got that in my 1911, just plain old Hydra-shoks in the 9mm. The Zombie Max has kind of ugly neon green plastic noses. But then I don't expect anyone to get a good look at them... ;-)
Will a 30-06 stop a zombie?
Another Hollywood horror movie / left coast substance abuse success story. Thanks BenLurkin.
