Remember this?
According to Marine Corps regulation MCO P1020.34F of the Marine Corps Uniform Regulations chapter 3, a male Marine is not allowed to carry an umbrella while in uniform.
But the POS is such a wussy girly-man he made a U.S. Marine violate rules by forcing the Marine to hold a umbrella just to shield him from a light drizzle.
Now the POS is taking the Leathernecks manly cap away.
Male and female Marines currently wear gender-specific caps, like these:

But if the POS has his way, male and female Marines will wear gender-neutral caps that will cost $8 MILLION, like these:
Jeane MacIntosh reports for the New York Post, Oct. 23, 2013:
Thanks to a plan by President Obama to create a unisex look for the Corps, officials are on the verge of swapping out the Marines iconic caps known as covers with a new version that some have derided as so girly that they would make the French blush.
We dont even have enough funding to buy bullets, and the DoD is pushing to spend $8 million on covers that look like womens hats! one senior Marine source fumed to The Post. The Marines deserve better. It makes them look ridiculous.
The thin new covers have a feminine line that some officials think would make them look just as good on female marines as on males in keeping with the Obama directive.
The Marine Corps is being encouraged by DoD to standardize on a unisex/universal dress and service cap, Marine brass noted in an internal memo obtained by The Post.
The controversial covers have been dubbed the Dan Daly hat, after a World War I sergeant from Long Island who twice won the Medal of Honor.
But some Marines love the old hat, which has been in use since 1922 and think the new hat is a glorified porters cap. The new Daly model is based on a style the Marines used from 1904 to 1918 and then jettisoned.
The Dan Daly cap looks too French, and the last people we want to associate our Marines with would be the French military, wrote one commenter on the Marine Times Web site.
As of now, the new covers are only in the proposal stage.
Marines have until Friday to cast their votes on whether to adopt them or keep the old hat with modifications. Marine Corps head Gen. James Amos will make the final decision.
According to the memo obtained by The Post, requiring all troops to use the Daly cover will cost $8,221,958. Going with the traditional cap will save $284,043, because the current female caps are more expensive.
Why are we even focused on this while we are laying troops off for no budget? another Marine Times commenter asked.
None of the [members] liked the idea of a universal cover for all Marines, the internal memo noted. The group members did not like the appearance of the Dan Daly cap on the male Marine.
I’m surprised it isn’t a burqa and turban.

Found this from Stars and Stripes and printed below:
The story is sweeping the Internet: President Barack Obama is trying to emasculate male Marines by making them wear a girly cover with their famed dress uniforms. The only problem? Its not true.
First, some background: Men and women in the Marine Corps currently wear different types of covers as part of their dress and service uniforms. The manufacturer of the womens bucket cover which has a distinctly different shape than the mens cover is going out of business and will not continue to make the cap, according to the Marine Corps.
The Marine Corps also has been asked by the DoD to find a unisex option for a dress and service cover, Marines said.
So, the Marine Corps Uniform Board, which meets quarterly, decided to gather feedback in advance of its meeting next week. Active and Reserve Marines were asked to vote on whether they believe women should adopt the current male cover, with some small modifications, or for all Marines to adopt what they call the Dan Daly cap.
Sgt. Maj. Dan Daly, a two-time Medal of Honor recipient who yelled, Come on, you sons of bitches, do you want to live forever? as he led Marines into the fight at Belleau Wood during World War I, wore a cap similar to the option proposed by the survey.
The Marine Corps Uniform Board will use the surveys to formulate a recommendation, though popularity isnt the only consideration — as evidenced by the strong negative reaction to the recent decision to keep camouflage utility sleeves rolled down all year.
Commandant Gen. James Amos must approve any uniform board recommendation before it takes effect.
In an email, Marine Corps officials said there is no truth to reports that President Obama is behind the potential change.
The president in no way, shape or form directed the Marine Corps to change our uniform cover, according to the Marine Corps statement. We are looking for a new cover for our female Marines for one overriding reason: The former manufacturer went out of business. The Marine Corps has zero intention of changing the male cover.
Anybody verify that this is true?
Why bother verifying? You’ve already rejected the article in its entirety as false.
