When and if, unemployment goes down considerably, then and only then can we consider some kind of "Operation Wet Back," begun under Eisenhower to meet the demands of some west coast growers.
Men came with permission (no families, distant cousins, etc.) and left after growing season.

We do NOT have a shortage of welfare recipients, slackers, criminals, drug dealers, etc. currently and until and unless we do, we don't need millions of invaders streaming in, crowding schools, emergency rooms, jails and court dockets!
And it worked out well for everyone. Those guys could make enough money to go home and live well in Mexico the rest of the year. I knew some of them.
Then the do gooders let them bring their families and gave them welfare, and now they are protesting and demanding citizenship.
