I am losing my home on the 31st I have to be out or I can offer $300 for one more month... I'm 18 and just got out on my own, please pray that I can find the means to keep myself off the streets. Thank you and God bless.
Is this one that would work for her in her current condition?
sadly it has to be the full 300 as it’s due to the landlord. I do have paypal.
Thank you to EVERYONE who offered advice...I know you all have your heart in the right place, even if the advice was some that isn’t possible at this time. Please, keep it coming, if you think of anything else...we are happy to hear all options.
God Bless you all!

Check your FReep mail.
I did, thank you...please check yours now! :)
Prayers for you, Kid.
When I thought this was an 18 year old boy, I wrote a long comment explaining all the public assistance available for him.
When the Mother said it was her daughter, I wrote another comment and explained that - in most US cities - a homeless woman can pick up the phone and have safe shelter before sun down.
When the Mother said the daughter is in a wheelchair, my BS detector went off.
An 18 year old disabled woman is eligible for a multitude of public assistance programs including food, shelter, heat, transportation, Medicaid, and job training.
If you can spot a moral or factual error in my three comments, please let me know.

How horrible! What school district did this occur in and why didn't the police intervene?
Please, feel free to guide us to the place where my daughter can get shelter, heat, transportation, and job training in our area. I would happily send that directly to her so she didn’t have to worry about being on the streets! This isn’t available here...She gets medical and food assistance, she is not pregnant and therefore doesn’t qualify for shelter/transportation and job training (IE: Cash assistance) or even those items given without her getting money. Whether you believe me or not, my daughter needs prayers...does it hurt you to offer up a prayer...even if you THINK it might be for someone who doesn’t truly need it? In that case, the person could definitely use prayers, if they were lying to get prayers! Geesh...
That happened in Minnesota, in the Spring Lake Park school district. We called the police, but they didn’t listen. We took her to the hospital and got reports and took them to the police and still no luck...then a few days later we saw an officer in uniform sitting on their deck enjoying a cool glass of something, and it became apparent why they wouldn’t do something about it!
It is pretty hard to join the military right now, they are downsizing and unless you already have skills they are interested in they are not interested.
Look again!

...and back at ya again!
You are such a blessing, she is going to be so busy going through all this to see if they can help!
Sending my prayers!
There’s some wonderful advice on this thread, I’m praying that you find a solution soon.
I would concur that starting with Catholic Charities is the way to proceed. Also, if you’re nearby your local fire station - stop by and ask for advice regarding assistance contacts. The first responders will have the best people on “speed dial”.
Depending on who your State Congressman is, that office should also be helpful.
Please keep us posted!

Get a new one. The disgronificator shaft on yours is broken.
The error is your snarky attitude.
You need to relocate ASAP to say Savannah or Atlanta or some nearby major city that has agencies and programs you both likely more than qualify for. First would be Section 8 housing for disabled. Yes most are first come first serve and list but certain agencies can step up that process. The second thing is in a bigger city the transportation issue is resolved as even many transit buses are not lift equipped.
Doing that and getting under one roof together pooling your resources is your way out for now. Have you tried for SSI? That is not the same thing as Disability and the standards for qualification are not near as strict and help is a matter of days not months down the road. The resources in smaller towns and communities are few and far between but both of you need those resources at least for your short term future.
You have my prayers. Both my wife and I are disabled. She is quad so I understand the need concerning wheelchairs. Our reality is if I didn't have my physical strength we'd be living in town in a rented handicap accessible apartment.
We’ve known these people for years. I understand your suspicions, but they’re known and respected here.
