Wasn’t there an APOD a few months ago that said the pillars in the Eagle Nebula are no longer there?
Just wondering if I imagined that orm not.

Not imagining that, it’s just so far away, that we haven’t seen the event happen. We can see the shockwave coming towards it and can predict effects.
