I didnt really care for this show the first time I saw it. But after watching them I have become impressed by how genuine they are... especially Phil.
but the squirrel eating episode was a bit much for me...
gags...
still I can FF for those parts :)
It’s really quite simple: America responds to virtue, truth and hard work....problem is, people are afraid to stand by their guns.
If the GOP were to IGNORE and truly go on the OFFENSIVE against Dems and the media, IGNORE the cries of “racist/bigot/homophobe” we would take the country back....problem is the GOP spend too much time “crawfishin”....
I ate squirrel growing up and intend to once again once my pecan orchard become productive. I've eaten far worse than squirrel. And as Phill says, nothing gets more organic than that.
Eaten a “few” squirrels in my day too, thanks for posting!
I don’t watch TV, so I didn’t know these guys are the Duck Commander guys.
No wonder! That’s a famous call. I think I have one in the basement.
You can watch the shows free on A&E via the internet!

The Robertsons don't need A&E or any of this for the money.....their money was made by long, honest, hard work.---I'm with Phil....I believe God is allowing them to reap the rewards of hard knocks resulting in deep faith.
Quite simply, we love this show!
When I was a kid my grandmother fixed me fried squirrel & homemade French fries whenever I came to visit. Awesome to remember to this day.
Grandpa & his L.C. Smith were the source for squirrel meat.

I enjoy the show too, once I caught onto the tongue in cheek (beard??) aspect of most of their antics. I’ve read the 3 books they have out, but not seen the hunting videos. I’ve been praying for their spiritual walk; as outspoken as they are, they are surely in the sights of the spiritual enemy of this world. But I’m confident they know the One who is the true Conqueror and the Best Fisherman.
Yes they do!
You know, last night I thought to myself that if things ever hit the fan, the very first thing I’ll do is send my husband out in the yard to harvest every squirrel he sees. We are overrun with them here.
I’ve never eaten one, but if things get ugly I’ll give it a go. I’ve heard they aren’t bad.

It really does taste like chicken. Just be mindful of the buckshot. At first I wasn’t interested in this show. But after I saw Jase on Fox & Friends one morning talking about his getting thrown out of his hotel in NYC (he called it Facial Profiling), I got curious. When I did watch, at first I thought it was some of my old home movies. Phil and I have walked some of the same roads. Like him, the Lord kept saving my miserable life, and now I just try to get thru each day trying not to backslide.
Squirrel is actually quite good. Pan-fried and then simmered in a nice rich gravy ‘til it’s falling off the bone, it’ll really melt in your mouth.
My grandmother would go out in her yard and kill a couple of squirrels for her dumplings. I prefer chicken with mine but when you grow up poor and have to live off the land and it’s bounty, you do it. I sure miss her.
Yes the buckshot but also not getting the fur on the fresh-skinned meat. My mother said that’s what she hated about eating squirrel’s was the “careful” preparations....:)
I love the show. My children especially love the show. I always get at least 2-3 huge laughs during every episode.
The show is mostly fake, but the people in them are genuine. But some things not everyone knows. Si is married and has been married for 40 years.
When Phil and Kay first got married, Phil ran a Honky Tonk and was a drunk, and he cheated on Kay multiple times. Of course since hes been saved, hes been faithful.
Just an example on how we can all overcome our inner demons.
