I remember the first McDonald’s I ever saw. It was around 1960 in Ft. Walton Bch. The hamburgers were 15 cents. There was no indoor seating and very little outdoors.

I can recall being surprised that they were good, especially the fries.

From around 1985 until very recently I can’t recall eating at a fast food restaurant all all. Then maybe two years ago, I had to eat out and decided to try McDonalds.

I could not believe how bad it was. Just about inedible. Don’t tell me they haven’t changed.

Google or Yahoo! their chicken nugget ingredients and the “pink slime” they put in their burgers. You’ll never eat there again.

Was there a McDonalds in FWB in 1960? Did they close and reopen later? I came down in 1970 and if I remember correctly, all we could find was a Burger King. We were from Tucson and had never heard of a Whopper.
