The information I would want to have would be navigational skills, whether any one of them had a gun or a knife or a piece of string even. I would probably be okay with the priest since whatever his wacky beliefs he could hear my confession and absolve me of sins as I lay dying of starvation. I wonder whether there was someone in a wheelchair who required a catheter. Toss him or her overboard. Generally a horrible assignment though. What age group?
English assignment; I don’t know what grade.
They’re just getting the kids ready for the aftermath of death panels. They will understand completely when their granny who’s in a wheelchair and has a catheter gets denied some lifesaving treatment.
This is all about indoctrinating the kiddies in the ‘morality’ of rationing.
We did something similar when I was in HS- taking World Religion class. Except- we drew a card for occupations. There were farmers, scientists, doctors, engineers, etc. As a group we voted a person out of the group of survivors of a nuclear holocaust situation.
We as a group had to decide who should survive(due to food, water, etc) and to carry on the human species in order to begin again.
It was a great debate deciding who was needed and who was not....30yrs later- could become a reality, albeit now based on “religion”....
