Congrats to the RedBirds, and a shout out to Cardinal Nation!
So will it be a 1967 World Series redux or a 1968 World Series redux?
If the Sox take it, i’d like the series to go 7 games.
Thinking YOU!
67!! ;)
68!!! Go Tigers!!! (Now all we need is Al Kaline and Mickey Lolich)
Mickey Lolich....now thats a name that makes Cardinal fans shiver.
Now we're talkin' taters. :)
Too funny...
Sadly, somewhere some liberal would be furiously writing a nasty letter to the organization on behalf of the Assosiation for Sensitively Stopping Hate Against Tubers.
The Three R’s: Replacements, Rookies, and RISP. That’s the story of this pennant-winning season.
Replacements: Guys go down, other guys step up to take their place, and do it quite well. Guys who needed to be replaced this season at some point: C. Carpenter, Motte, Boggs, Garcia, Westbrook, Mujica, Craig. Guys who stepped in and replaced them: Miller, Mujica, Rosenthal, Kelly, Wacha, Rosenthal, Adams. All in-house guys, too.
Rookies: Ten rookies on this postseason roster. Ten! Adams, Kozma, Chambers, Wong; Miller, Wacha, Maness, Siegrist, Martinez, Rosenthal. And other than Chambers and Wong, these rookies have played major roles in the team getting this far. I have never seen such a collection of great young pitching arrive at the same time on the same team (to go along with the staff ace, the veteran Wainwright).
RISP: Timely hitting with Runners In Scoring Position. Craig, Holliday, M. Carpenter, Beltran, Molina—five of the top six RISP guys in the league are on the Cardinals.
Funny. During the Dodger post game show on the radio tonight, they were talking about going all the way to the World Series - next year! Lol!
YOU CAN'T TAKE A THIRD STRIKE IN THAT SITUATION
Another Dbacks fan.
It will be 67 or 06. No chance of a 68.
Heh heh, I saw what you did there.
Yes it does. Hopefully next year is our turn to knock the Dodgers back to reality. Especially their idiot fans. They buy players who need motivation from a rookie.
no class.
Big Hitter, the Lama.
The dodgers sure took a bath today.
What’s wrong with what the Dodgers did there...If Arizona didn’t want them celebrating in their pool, then try beating them.
the best bath they have taken all season!
