I would assume micky’s hamburger’s come frozen. So he’s suggesting they “defrosted” it an served it?
Be glad it was only uncooked.
What’s wrong with Steak Tartare? May would pay large sums for such a dish in fancy restaurants.
Must not have been all that bad.
It took him FOUR bites to figure something wrong.
As ‘terrible’ as he claims, should have noticed FOR SURE on 2nd bite.
Also, isn’t everything basically frozen and microwaved?
If true, I would be more ‘worried’ that the mess wasn’t meat, rather than ‘raw hamburger’.
I remember when my mother making meat loaf or such and getting the spatula uplongside the head for reaching in the bowl and eating the meat raw.
She wasn’t as much worried about eating the meat raw as she was having to put more ‘bread crumbs’(??) to make up for the lost volume - that loaf was going to be a certain size and be enough for all.
Wasn’t all that long ago I heard (or read) someone admit his job at the ‘char broiled HB fast food joints’ was to impress the grill marks on the finished product...
Hmmm maybe he should start brown bagging his meals.
First thing that I thought of, too.
I’m surprised he didn’t go back and shoot the cook and claim he came at him with a knife.
Maybe a cop shot the cook’s dog.
A substantial number of fast food workers have, shall we say, extensive knowledge of the criminal justice system. For this reason, most cops have sense enough to figure out which restaurants to avoid. Best line I’ve heard:
“I see you got bonded out in time to cover your shift.” :o)
“Bring the burger back and we’ll recook it for you”.
I’m no apologist for MCD, but the cop should be thankful it happened at a Mickey-D’s.
MCD’s supply plants have the highest food-safety standards of any food producer I have seen - and that’s a lot of them.
They know they have potentially thousands of careless teens and lazy, stupid adults working at their franchises who can do unimaginably stupid things and can create all kinds of risk - so everything they do is geared towards minimizing the problems these people can create.
He did not get violently ill hours after eating.
Meat is so chock full of antibiotics and hormones these days.
What probably happened is he might have been served a patty that wasn’t fully cooke and you’re not going to get sick from that unless it had been sitting out all day, which is unlikely.
I eat raw hamburger and meat all the time and never get sick.
Plus I tell chefs and cooks to “Threaten” my steak.
I like it rare, which is warm to the touch and I never get sick.
I’ve had steak with a few Freepers who can attest to my liking steak that wzy.
I live in Derry.
I’ve been to that McDonalds.
I’m not surprised.
A variation of the spit burger.
Officer Moor, chew and then swallow. You’re welcome.
Could have been much worse. A low life I knew used to brag about his work in a fast food place where he’d hawk up an oyster and spit it into a hamburger before it went out.
My favorite is from basic training where this other private enjoyed cleaning the CO’s office. I was detailed to help him once and he was so happy. I had to ask why. When cleaning the CO’s coffee cup, he ran a certain part of his anatomy around the inside of the clean cup before putting it away. The 1SG got the same treatment.
