The Healthcare Act is really about confiscation of tax refunds

The Healthcare Act just forced upon Americans was pushed through with deceit by telling ignorant Americans they would receive healthcare at reasonable premiums. It turns out (as usual) that it was all a lie.

What the Healthcare Act is, in fact, is a way to more thoroughly tax citizens without provoking a revolution. Millions of younger Americans never carried insurance because with good health they didn't need to. Now, the government is going to force EVERY adult to have healthcare. Many companies have dropped healthcare or have cut hours to 29 per week to not have to incur the costs involved. So, very few private sector companies will offer health insurance. This is very ominous for all of these younger citizens.

The premiums and deductibles are much higher than everyone thought and the new W-4 form has a new line requiring input of one's healthcare provider AND the number of that provider. What the IRS is going to do is this: If you opt out of buying healthcare either through your employer or from the government, you WILL pay a penalty and it will come out of your TAX REFUND, if you have one, or you're going to owe the IRS taxes which you will pay or you'll wish you did.

So, now the government is forcing people to buy something they don't need and with the high deductibles will almost all never use. Where is all of that money going to go? Is it going to go down a rathole like Social Security funds have? Most certainly, yes. Now, the government is going to need new payers not only for Social Security, but also for the Healthcare system.

Thus, we have a tremendous push for amnesty for illegal aliens who have now stated publicly that they're not taking it anymore and want amnesty now. Well, their leadership, controlled by the Democrat Party, has said that. Obama has stated publicly "On to immigration reform!" They have to have more taxpayers on the record who can be forced to pay for everything. Those getting citizenship will look up one day and think, "I've been shoveling horse manure, taking care of chicken houses, cleaning house, etc. for 20 years now. It's MY turn for a decent job and the fight will be on for all low level jobs like fast food, etc. with all of those working those jobs unable to buy health insurance and having their tax refunds confiscated to pay the penalty while at the same time receiving NO healthcare. And, to think of it, many of them (legal and illegal) voted for all of this.

The last real source of money accessible to the government are peoples' retirement funds and bank accounts. Can you say Argentina? Greece? Spain? Get ready for the ride. As daddy always said, "Be careful what you wish for, you may get it."

Yes, not hard to do . . . just withhold significantly less, set the difference aside in a savings account for paying taxes in April, but be sure to do it every year, permanently.

Of course if they have nothing to satisfy the penalty or even if they do, everyone is now a “law breaker”

When the laws and regulations are made so complex and intrusive that it is impossible to avoid being a law breaker, then the full force of government can be brought to bear against everyone.

Yes, we seized that Law Breaker’s 401k or bank account, they failed to _________________.

Regulatory conviction is much simpler than felony conviction. We all become constant offendors able to be tapped or taken by functionaries of the Big Government and the ready answer is: They were a Law Breaker.

A key question - how many people will elect to pay the penalty rather than get insured and how much tax revenue does that represent. Many people focus on fact the tax is less than insurance but ignore where the money is going - into the belly of the beast.

If we are to have a crap system like this then the tax penalties should go to the insurance companies not the US govt. The whole thing is just a money grab.

That will be the “There Will Be Blood” moment when people say FK you and use some of that lead they have stockpiled over the last 6 years !What do they have to lose ?

2) Eliminate automatic withholding - everyone writes a check for state tax, fed tax, fica, medicare, every month.

Or even better, having to pay the EBT charges racked up by the bling queen in front of them in the grocery line.
