Zacharias is an intellectual giant who can debate anyone on the planet. He is also a gentle and generous man. I was able to spend a lot of time with him over the course of several days while we were both overseas. Ravi is gifted, and God is with him.

I was working on my car one day in my garage, and I hear Ravi relate a story about the late, and legendary CNN sportscast anchor and network star, Nick Charles.

There were several media stories about it, and I heard several CNN employees were "blown away" by Nick's sharing of his talks with Ravi.

The main point here should be this: Zacharias or other true Christian ministers like Graham, Twisse, Howe, Higginson, Luther, or Paul were not in it for themselves, but for Christ.

Nick Charles lived, before he accepted Jesus, a life of women, vanity, and greed.

We all can relate. But in our most vulnerable moments, when we are in horrible pain from bladder cancer (what Nick had) or whatever our ailment, Christ Himself can enter into our room, and comfort us. He did that for Nick. He does that for you and I.

Ravi Zacharias is one of the most brilliant minds I’ve encountered. He can shred any atheist argument to pieces in just a few sentences.
