Unlike some of the NEA funded drek that passes for art these days, Mr. Smith's work is fantastic! Originally intending to help preserve the past, he stumbled on the added benefit of helping Alzheimer's patients.

Wonderful! Reminds me of some forgotten lore. There was an Elgin or Egan Park in New Jersey in the 20s. A man of that name gave some prime acreage to his township for the public’s enjoyment. His terms were if the town tried to develop it, the property reverted back to his surviving family. Couldn't be touched. The day he died, though, the town changed the name of the parcel to Roosevelt Park after FDR in exchange for a ‘public works’ slush fund. So the name and good deed of Elgin, or Egan, disappeared from public knowledge.
