The perfect Tucson couple was once described as “Two older, middle aged lesbians who breed dogs and decorate with the Pueblo Indian Art Deco style popular in Taos.”

Truthfully, there are more palm readers, fortune tellers, European-origin and Mexican, central and South American-origin witches, per square mile in Tucson than in just about any other place in the world. They are attracted to the Sonora desert, “like flies to a magnet”.

Of course it has been radical Democrat for decades, and the only place in the US where I have ever heard Maoist pirate radio. It is not a reality-based environment.

Nothing special about them...they just stayed outside in that VERY hot sun too long.

I went to a fat farm in Tuscon one spring. It was FABULOUS as I got to watch the farm teams practice. SOMEtimes one of the "big boys" would mosey on down to the minors for a tune-up or to recuperate from an injury. I saw a couple of big names. I can't remember them but one was a BIG SLUGGER from one of the great lakes teams.

After seeing the few major league players play in their minor league teams it was CRYSTAL CLEAR why THEY were in the majors--they were SO MUCH better that the minor league players and they were AAA. Big wow for me.

LOVED Tucson. Hot dogs were a buck! I had four each night. Some of the owners would come down and sit in their sky boxes. I've used to be a HUGE baseball fan.
