Cool. Drive-in or regular theater? Did it meet your expectations?

I believe it was the Wardman Theater in Whittier, Calif., a walk-in theater. We never went to drive-ins. Our 1965 VW camper didn't have adequate windows for watching movies, and our other car, a 1966 VW 1600, sort of a miniature station wagon, was too cramped and uncomfortable.

Nonetheless, I enjoyed the film, as I did most of the films that I saw that year.

My most disappointing movie experience that summer was "Casino Royale," which we saw, if I remember correctly, at the Garmar Theater in Montebello. This was a comedy that featured Woody Allen as the spy James Bond. However, I thought the film was "stupid," a word I almost certainly used to describe it at the time, and that it utterly failed as a comedy.

"Casino Royale"

Stupid? You are correct sir. And most critics agreed including this one. Hollyweird laid a huge egg with that one.
