OK did this STUPID "Government" make a "rule" about Car Gas? At Sams Club(Council Bluffs, IA) I can ONLY find that Ethanol BS. My Subaru needs REAL Gas and I don't think that It can run on this Ethanol BS.
How is it possible that something that is more complicated to and expensive to produce is cheaper? Government subsidies.
All of our cars ran a lot better on clear gas.
Ethanol is a massive rippoff and the sheeple don't have a clue.
The is an example of how the government can change the use of a product by either making the less desirable product more expensive or the more desirable product cheaper through subsidies.
I have a pre-gas pump car that doesn't do well on ethanol gasoline. Tons of vapor lock problems. Running aviation fuel is probably not a good idea — too high of grade.
Too bad there isn't a way to remove the ethanol.
Mixing diesel seems to work okay but not great. Wish there was a better solution.
A noticeable difference in performance in my turbo car, too.
But hey, lots of demand for corn — the corn farmers are doing really well. /sarc
^^^Ive got a 2003 Trailbrazer with the 4.2l engine (Purchased new). Have used nothing but 87 octane with ethanol for 289,000 miles. Still got the original fuel pump and still get 22 mpg on the highway.&&&
You need to go buy a lottery ticket, and keep your AAA membership up to date. Luck only lasts so long.
I have changed 6 pumps in those chevy 4.3 engine equipped vehicles, and that was in only 4 vehicles. Got 2 older pumps from the parts house that each lasted 3 weeks before giving it up. The impellers turn to goo in the alcohol.
Actually I understated the mileage...it has 298,640 miles.
