1st off, glad you saw this, it was a lively discussion last month.
After the last game in September when Mexico lost to Honduras at home, they sacked the coach/manager...and Victor Vucetich, must be a Mexican of Yugoslavian descent, was brought in: http://us.soccerway.com/coaches/victor-manuel-vucetich/145284/
It was a rather fantastic game.

But they sure aren’t out of the woods on this, I repeat USA at Panama, Mexico at Costa Rica. Seems it could go any way possible. And then, whomever advances I understand will play the Kiwis, New Zealand, champion of Oceania speaking of, Australia sure got walloped in a friendly versus France, something like 6-0 and sacked their manager. The Socceroos also lost real badly to Brazil not to long ago.
If Mexico brought in someone like Guus Hiddink, there’s no telling what they could do...but they keep insisting on home grown coaches.
The US has nothing to play for, so I won’t be surprised if Panama wins that one. And I also think Costa Rica has second place wrapped up, as well, so I wonder how motivated they are going to be.
