WTH does anyone still live in NY? I am from Albany and you couldn’t pay me enough money to go back there. I’d sever a limb before I went back for so many reasons.

Sad ain’t it? All my dad’s side of the family is from the Hudson Valley area since way back in the late 16/early 1700’s. Athens was his home town until he graduated college. Never lived there after that once he got in the Navy as an officer. We visited in the 50’s and 60’s and it was a great area then. Maybe being so small they’ve avoided some of the crap flowing in from “oh rochester” and other parts of the state. The cradle of “democracy” in the north east has gone to hell in a hand basket.
