Ok a lot of assumptions on my part however if the hunters possessed proper licenses, if it was moose hunting season, and the moose was not protected by a law or special proclamation-then what’s the problem? Any of you could have chosen to kill it or not. Either choice would have been ok to me. Congrats to the Hunter on a rare trophy bull moose.

No one is upset when a moose of color is gunned down, but when a white moose goes down the din is deafening. /s Seriously, a moose is a moose, I’m sure he is just as tasty as a chocolate moose. We know the significance and we've been teaching that to the non-native population for almost 500 years — about the importance that this and other white animals played in our lives. We are not to harm them in any way, shape, or form because they could be one of our ancestors coming to remind us of something significant that's going to happen within our communities. It was so disrespectful having seen it put on the social media, and it's been an outcry and our people are outraged.

If the people of Nova Scotia want to ban the harvest of albino animals, they can do that. Until then, bring on the albino moose burger. It can't taste worse than any other moose.

Excuse me but its good it was killed before it bred and procreated it’s defective genes. Had the harvester not killed it it would have stuck out like a sore thumb for any other preditor.
