Mine seeks out my hand and pets himself with it. Sometimes I have to leave the room to get away from him.

Agreed. Our cats come and go all day long, but are sure to demand a brushing each time they come in. They get brushed 4-6 times a day, if not more.

You leave him alone with the hand?

What? My cat has been hanging out at your house? Tell him to come home at once.

Mine seeks out my hand and pets himself with it. +1 "You don't get out of it that easy" seems to be the message.

I have one who does that as well.

Mine seeks out my hand and pets himself with it. Sometimes I have to leave the room to get away from him. Same with mine. Girl cat tries to "jump start" any exposed hand at night either by jamming her head under it or gently taking a finger in her teeth and lifting it. Boy cat demands what has become known at our house as "The Forever Pet" because until you just walk away, it will go on...and on...and on...

Yeah, our cat “force pets” too, shoving our hands along her body! The article is full of it. Cats love to be petted. However, sometimes they get “enough,” and their tails will shake and they will become conflicted.
