No, I didn’t say anything. He’s an old man and he’s lived next door for longer than the 15 years we’ve been here. It’s not worth the hard feelings, and he wouldn’t understand anyway. This man inherited the house he’s in. Can’t read or write. And too he’s a very nice old man. I just don’t have the heart to demean him to his face.
That said, I completely understand how you feel. You wife should be proud!
LOL! Once, there was a woman in front of me who paid with a lone star card. The cashier asked her if she wanted the receipt and the woman waved her off.
Loud enough for the general area to hear me I said:
I'LL TAKE THE RECEIPT - SINCE I'M ONE OF MANY WHO PAID FOR IT. (my memory fails, but that was close enough)
I thought the cashier wanted to crawl under the counter.
