Yeah, I’m a homer. So what? Doesn’t make me wrong. I amy even have a vested interest, although not as vested as you might think.

Until someone beats them, Alabama will remain #1, as they should. Maybe Oregon will beat them in the championship. Maybe neither one will make it. But so far, both are undefeated, which puts them one up on on the Gamecocks.

I don’t know what your point is. I never said Alabama should be knocked off their ranking now. You are obsessed with that notion, which is not all that important to me.

I simply predicted that in time, Oregon, a program I do not like, will rise to the top. I said that Bama has taken a small step backwards IMO from their recent excellence while Oregon had stepped up their game a couple notches. You replied in an insulting manner, which will likely be made to look foolish as time wears on. I never “lauged” at Bama.

But I will say this - college teams are vastly different year to year - so the fact that Bama was number one last year may, or may not, reflect this years reality at all.

OK. Fair enough I suppose.

No one said Alabama will never lose again, either. Just that they haven’t yet. I don’t think they will, this year, either.

Whether Oregon will rise to the top is open to debate, although they are very good.

All I want to say about being “obessed” is “1966”. Maybe I am, a little.

I don’t think that I was insulting, just that I laughed at the notion that Oregon was the best team. However, I you think that I was, then I apologize. It wasn’t my intention.

Just FYI, I saw Steve Spurrier play against Alabama once. I was selling 7-Up in the stands. I’ve always admired him, but I think he needs to get a litle better control of some of his players. You know who I mean.
