People regularly shoot winchesters made in the 1800s. Thus establishing a lower limit of around 150 years...will such rifles still be functional in, say, the year 2525 (if man is still alive)?

Springs might be bad, but that’s about it.
I wouldn’t stand in front of a 500 yo gun and bet my life it didn’t work.
As far as ammo goes, I still shoot ammo from the 1930’s and it wasn’t made to anywhere near todays standards.
