How does one know when to repot ginger? I have 3 in a flowe pot. When do I replant them to a larger pot? When do I know when to remove them for kitchen use?
I don’t know that there’s a “time” as I’ve asked that before. This is my first try at ginger and they’re up to 2 feet tall. A couple are starting to show the root above the soil. I had cut a root from the grocery store up and put it in a hanging basket (yes, I know, but I used what was handy) earlier in the summer and thought when I brought it in for the winter I’d put it in a deeper pot in case it needed staking. I don’t know when to dig it to use.
Blah, cat just walked across the keyboard and messed it all up. Now to try to fix it.....
