Asphyxiation did not bother him, but when I pointed out that he wanted to build it over the gas tank, he finally scrapped the plan LOL
There are more naysayers around than visionaries...partly for the reason you gave. Good judgement comes from experience...experience comes from bad judgement.

I once placed a Coleman catalytic heater in my 1968 VW van during a very cold winter. It turned over and caught the shag carpet (yes I know, shag carpet) on fire. It was an interesting few minutes of my life. I learned a valuable lesson.
