Earlier this summer, Sacha Baron Cohen left GK Film's untitled Freddie Mercury biopic over "creative differences." Now it has come to light exactly what those differences were.
As it turns out, Baron Cohen actually dropped the Mercury project because the late singer's Queen bandmates didn't want the Borat star for the film.

Freddie, as with many cases, was molested as a teenager.
And as mentioned above, he was probably my favorite character in Les Miserables. Took me a few minutes to realize it was him.
Hugo or Les Miserables...I would recommend those. He was quite outrageous in Bruno...unless you like sexual explicit humor.
Cohen is a talented man.
I think as a child, too, he was molested. He was sent off to boarding school at a young age. He even was a boxer for a little while as a kid.
He chose a very poor lifestyle, though I do believe when he worked, he worked extremely hard...the strength of his voice and his creativity were a gift from God.
Who knows what happens to a person in one’s last days? From his music, it is apparent he knew the story of Jesus Christ; I hope it penetrated his heart as his body grew weaker.
Someday we’ll know.
Thanks!
