If I had had a child with a problem I would have preferred to have a child with Down Syndrome than with some other problems that children can have.

Last week in Hutchinson,Kansas, a "normal" teenage boy deliberately set fire to the family home and killed his mother and sister. According to the D.A. the boy had hoped to kill his father as well. If the D.A. has his way the boy will be tried as an adult.

I have had the privilege of being acquainted with several people with Down Syndrome over the years and I preferred their company to the company of some of the "normal" people I have had to deal with.

My wife taught many Down Syndrome kids, and found them delightful.
