If your only source is the Free Republic search engine you're probably out of luck. After awhile, whatever you post eventually gets deleted.

But you still might be able to recover it, if you have an url or a title that you can submit to Google. You can try to find the post at Google by using the cache of the page part of what google archives of the url. You can also try to resurrect the post by using the Add On available when using Firefox.
