Another interesting point is the Old Faithful webcam in Yellowstone. The camera is supposedly offline with a message on the site yellowstone.net blaming it on the shutdown. One problem is that on the usual site there was a notice saying the webcam was sponsored and paid for by a grant from Canon.

The old site is probably available on the wayback machine.

The Soo Locks website is up. Its USACE.

I get a security warning but I think its because they’re looking back at me.

Excellent point. If the grant was provided by Canon, then they have extorted that funding and are not delivering the service. Canon has legal action against the govt. as grants exist to ensure funding.
