Huge, free music festival in San Francisco this weekend. I am especially looking forward to seeing Mike Farris and the Roseland Rhythm Revue, Freakwater, Low, and First Aid Kit, to name a few.

I’d love to be there.

Buddy Miller.
The Jerry Douglass Band.
The Time Jumpers.

Amazing line-up overall.
Some will be streamed live including The Time Jumpers.

I saw Robert Ellis do a free show out my way a few weeks back.

The Time Jumpers— outstanding

The Time Jumpers featuring Brad Albin, Larry Franklin, Paul Franklin, Vince Gill, “Ranger Doug” Green, Andy Reiss, Dawn Sears, Kenny Sears, Joe Spivey, Jeff Taylor & Billy Thomas.

“A” list studio and stage performers. Paul Franklin is simply the best pedal steel player living. The whole crew is phenomenal, not to mention Vince Gill.

And there is also Tim O’Brien and Darrell Scott, Jerry Douglas Band, Ralph Stanley, Emmy Lou Harris and Buddy Miller.
Quite a lineup.

Jerry Douglass.
I just got a new Dobro myself.
Maybe in 10-15 years I can learn enough to be called a novice.

S.F. occasionally gets some great Bluegrass performances. I once saw Bill Monroe and the Bluegrass Boys play at the Great American Music Hall. I even got to meet him and talk with him for a few minutes. He was a real gentleman.

Natalie Maines should be a hit in SF.

Ha! I saw her dad Lloyd here in Kerrville about 3 weeks ago. He plays steel guitar, guitar and dobro and is the actual talent of that family. Awesome player.
